Mercy Ships is a global charity which operates a fleet of hospital ships in developing nations. Since 1978, Mercy Ships has followed the model of Jesus, bringing hope and healing to the poor mobilizing people and resources worldwide. Mercy Ships is the world's leading non-governmental, ship-based medical organization. We supported Fifty & Fifty with information architecture and user experience design.
Mercy Ships is an international charity that brings hospital ships to provide medical and related services to areas with little to no medical care infrastructure. Their website was hard to navigate and not helping their brand; they were looking for a total redesign. We flattened out the site hierarchy (check out the before/after sitemaps below), built out a more interconnected taxonomy to promote browsing and cross-promotion, and laid out a consistent, usable set of UX templates. We worked with the always fantastic Fifty & Fifty on this one.
