Site redesign UX for a medical charity

Mockup of desktop on desk, featuring the site map

About the project

Mercy Ships is an international charity that brings hospital ships to provide medical and related services to areas with little to no medical care infrastructure. Their website was hard to navigate and not helping their brand; they were looking for a total redesign. We flattened out the site hierarchy (check out the before/after sitemaps below), built out a more interconnected taxonomy to promote browsing and cross-promotion, and laid out a consistent, usable set of UX templates. We worked with the always fantastic Fifty & Fifty on this one.
